For this week’s TechTuesday, we wanted to discover what technology recruiters couldn’t live without. We asked our LinkedIn community and the feedback was mixed with expected and surprising answers. You can view the entire discussion at our LinkedIn post!
Here’s the question as seen on the LinkedIn group page:
Using the responses, here are the most popular tools for recruiters, in order of mentions:
- Smartphone – 10
- LinkedIn – 4
- ATS- 2
- Email – 1
- Whatsapp – 1
- Twitter – 1
- Laptop – 1
- Kettle – 1
- Coffee – 1
- ReferenceInConfidence – 1
Here are some of the comments from the discussion:
The most popular answer by far was phones, as Smartphones continue to dominate how we effiently communicate with each other. As John Ruffini stated, having direct conversations is the best method for business interactions.
50% of mobile phone users use their handheld device as their primary internet source, 91% of mobile internet access is for social activities versus just 79% on desktop computers. Mobile internet is a different kind of internet connectivity, but is proving the chosen way for many to engage with others.
Coffee and ATS organisation. Vital for any recruitment!
LinkedIn continues to be the best platform for connecting with professionals within your industry. With other 300 million users from more than 200 countries, the network is a likely platform for you connecting to professionals relevant to you.
Surprisingly, no-one specifically mentioned cloud-based systems being a vital aspect to their job, perhaps suggesting a reluctance to integrate cloud storage into their work systems significantly.
Thanks for everyone that participated in this week’s discussion. What technology is vital to you? Let us know in the comments. Also, be sure to join our LinkedIn group for an active recruitment community!
