Ever heard of social recruiting? Think it’s a wee bit confusing perhaps? Thought so!
Thankfully, our friends at Provide have created the Social Recruitment Compass, basically mapping out how they go about searching for candidates across social media, job boards, search engines, blogs and personal sites, location services and many other places.
The social recruiting mantra from Provide is: Identify, Contribute, Network, Harvest. This means don’t approach people as soon as you see them on social media, instead contribute to the professional discourse and network your way to earning their trust. Social recruiting can be a slow burner but so can networking in general – but tends to deliver very good results over time.
